Fast-paced, interesting thriller。 The characters from The President is Missing are back again with new suspenseful dilemmas to solve。

A real page turner!I read this after recovering from eye surgery。 I was shocked that I didn’t spring back to my compulsive reading mode。 But this book grabbed me after the first 3 pages。 I’m hooked again!

Some novels are credible stories。 After reading them, you could say, “Yeah, that makes sense。” Other novels require suspension of disbelief for you to enjoy the tale。 And then there’s The President’s Daughter, which is so far-fetched, it’s in a category by itself。 The President’s Daughter makes an initial impression of credibility。 There’s 21st century military hardware described in minute detail…special-ops prep explained in SEAL Team jargon…White House readiness in the Situation Room…competing Some novels are credible stories。 After reading them, you could say, “Yeah, that makes sense。” Other novels require suspension of disbelief for you to enjoy the tale。 And then there’s The President’s Daughter, which is so far-fetched, it’s in a category by itself。 The President’s Daughter makes an initial impression of credibility。 There’s 21st century military hardware described in minute detail…special-ops prep explained in SEAL Team jargon…White House readiness in the Situation Room…competing intergovernmental responsibilities…ambition and petty jealousies。。。marital tensions…holy war terrorists…and geo-political conflicts。 At first glance, the wealth of details throughout the story creates an air of believability, but the plot twists, the opportune coincidences, the villains’ foolish blunders, the heroes’ rejection of rules and protocols, all make the novel impossible to accept。 For the reader, suspension of disbelief is not enough; more is needed。So, what to do with The President’s Daughter? My suggestion: Go beyond suspending disbelief; turn logic on its head and pretend the novel’s lack of credibility is a feature, not a bug。 Do as I did and exclaim, “Bring it on! The more incredible the better; the more absurd, the more enjoyable。” If you can accept absurdity, you are in for a wild, entertaining, page-turning ride。 The plot twists are frequent; the villains and heroes are evident; and the complexity of competing interests is part of the fun。 As you read, if questions of credibility creep into your mind, cast those thoughts aside because that’s the only way to appreciate The President’s Daughter。 Don’t think; just enjoy。 。。。more

I usually love James Patterson's books (even when written with other people) but this book was just too full of things an ordinary person like me doesn't have much knowledge of。The storyline was good and the characters good and the ending was as expected, but at time it was a struggle to read。I imagine I am one of the few that just wasn't happy with this book。 I usually love James Patterson's books (even when written with other people) but this book was just too full of things an ordinary person like me doesn't have much knowledge of。The storyline was good and the characters good and the ending was as expected, but at time it was a struggle to read。I imagine I am one of the few that just wasn't happy with this book。 。。。more

Kill Blinton and Pames Japerson, to start with a Captiol Steps type lerdidi, have written a bon fook。 It was slow starting but had an incredible build up。 The conclusion was one would want and it certainly ended up non-sexist。 How wonderful a mixture of gore, bravado and PC。

Intrigue, mystery, action, politics, insight and adventure fill this novel from the start。 It is gruesome in part but then so is the real world in part。 It is well written as one would expect from two such eminent authors。 Action- packed from start to finish, you won’t want to put this story down。 The story centres around the kidnapping and the attempts to rescue an ex president’s daughter。 Highly recommended。

Full Out Flack Jacket ExcitementWell, James Patterson and Bill Clinton have done it again! Another great action thrill read from this duo

Hugely-hyped, of course。 Saw right through the major twist, as I'm sure many will。 Not as good as the first Patterson/Clinton collaboration but a decent thriller nonetheless。 I'd love to know how much each author contributed。 Prefer the Women's Murder Club, Michael Bennett and Private novels, to be honest。 Hugely-hyped, of course。 Saw right through the major twist, as I'm sure many will。 Not as good as the first Patterson/Clinton collaboration but a decent thriller nonetheless。 I'd love to know how much each author contributed。 Prefer the Women's Murder Club, Michael Bennett and Private novels, to be honest。 。。。more

I was drawn to this book because of the authors, I’ve read James Patterson before and enjoyed his books and I was curious about the input from ex-president Bill Clinton。I won’t précis the book, you’ll have gleaned that from the book or other reviews。 I can’t say I was hooked right from the start, it took me a while to get reeled in, but then reeled in I was! Brilliant I really enjoyed this even though I’m not usually a fan of political thrillers but found this one easy to follow。 My favourite JP novel in a long time。

I enjoyed reading this -- more than the first attempt with Clinton by Patterson。 This one read like a movie, it really felt as if I was watching it, not reading it。The president in the title is actually the ex-president and the president who is now running the show is his former vice-president and she is a lousy typical politician with a slimy husband。There are various power plays and power grabs and fighting over who has authority that always clogs things up。 There are characters who are quite I enjoyed reading this -- more than the first attempt with Clinton by Patterson。 This one read like a movie, it really felt as if I was watching it, not reading it。The president in the title is actually the ex-president and the president who is now running the show is his former vice-president and she is a lousy typical politician with a slimy husband。There are various power plays and power grabs and fighting over who has authority that always clogs things up。 There are characters who are quite likeable and ones who are truly detestable。 There's a somewhat believable and exciting storyline and action。 And it is written well enough that I felt like I watched it。 Not memorable, but a fun couple days of reading。 。。。more

Best book to date。 Interesting characters, with many twists and turns。

Surprisingly good。 Perhaps it’s the genuine emotion that is exhibited by the author as he talks about his daughter and the parallels between President Clinton and Chelsea。 It feels real because of this relationship。

Alright, alright I can’t even believe I read this book let alone seriously enjoyed it。 I didn’t really like the first one but when I saw this book had a full cast reading to include January Levoy, dion graham and Tony Goldwyn as the President, I couldn’t resist。 I don’t actually believe Bill Clinton wrote this book, it’s too smart and Im sure his name sells a lot of books, but let’s just say he did I mean, that dude has balls to put some of these details in, the presidents husband is a perv, the Alright, alright I can’t even believe I read this book let alone seriously enjoyed it。 I didn’t really like the first one but when I saw this book had a full cast reading to include January Levoy, dion graham and Tony Goldwyn as the President, I couldn’t resist。 I don’t actually believe Bill Clinton wrote this book, it’s too smart and Im sure his name sells a lot of books, but let’s just say he did I mean, that dude has balls to put some of these details in, the presidents husband is a perv, the setting in Libya(!!!!) and mentioning the USS Cole! This history girl knows all that shit is something Clinton should not touch with a ten foot pole。 But it works。 That being said, the plot is actually really exciting, engaging and fast paced, I was on the edge of my seat。 The hero is an ex navy seal, ex congressman from the state of Texas and ex president, but I imagined him as Dan Crenshaw。 Forget that Clinton supposedly wrote this (I assume it’s just a way to funnel some money to the Clinton’s, but that’s just me) and imagine Patterson behind the pen and it’s a good thriller。 。。。more

This book was full of non-stop action and so much fun to read。 It was quite long, but in typical Patterson fashion, the pages flew by。I love the collaboration w/ Clinton。 I will be getting the first book out of the library to read sometime soon。

President’s Daughter - What a Book?Absolutely Superb! Considering the length of this book, I think I read it in record time for me。 Just couldn’t put it down。 Fantastic storyline and brilliant twists and turns along the way。 Nothing is ever as it seems but you’ve just got to keep reading! Fantastic。 Please write another one soon。 You must。

Even better than "The President is Missing"A wonderful twisting, turning plot with interesting characters。 What does a former POTUS do when they are no longer POTUS? How much security do they get, and do they want? Who can they trust?Really even better than the first story by Patterson and Clinton。 I hope they write more。 Even better than "The President is Missing"A wonderful twisting, turning plot with interesting characters。 What does a former POTUS do when they are no longer POTUS? I love James Patterson books and I really enjoyed the first book with President Clinton。 I wasn’t sure the second would be as good but it definitely was! The characters are authentic and well developed, the plot is fast moving and the ending is satisfying。 A really great read!
